How to calculate motor speed?

The synchronous motor speed is calculated with the following equation:

\(N_{s}=\displaystyle \frac{120 \cdot f }{p}\)

Where,

  • Ns is the motor speed in RPM.
  • f is the frequency in Hz.
  • p is the number of poles.
