**Motor frequency (f):**Motor power supply frequence, for example 50 Hz.**Number of poles (p):**For example, 4.

## How to calculate motor speed?

The synchronous motor speed is calculated with the following equation:

\(N_{s}=\displaystyle \frac{120 \cdot f }{p}\)

Where,

**N**is the motor speed in RPM._{s}**f**is the frequency in Hz.**p**is the number of poles.
