- Motor rating (P): Motor rated power in kW from the nameplate or datasheet.
- Motor speed (N): Motor rated speed in RPM from the nameplate or datasheet. Not the synchronous speed.
How to calculate motor torque?
The motor rated torque is calculated with the following equation:
\(T=\displaystyle \frac{60}{2\pi}\cdot \displaystyle \frac {P \cdot 1000}{N}\)
Where,
- T is the motor rated torque in N.m.
- P is the motor rated power in kW.
- N is the motor rated speed in RPM. Not the synchronous speed.
